Warrington Running Festival - Sunday 21st September 2025

After the overwhelming success of the Warrington Running Festival in 2023 as the world’s first free to enter running festival, the event returned in 2024 in its traditional format. The RunThrough Foundation's aim is to move around with the Free event being available in different cities as the years go on.

The Warrington Running Festival in 2025 will continue to be a celebration of running and fitness and will only continue the legacy of the 2023 event which saw so many first time and experienced runners alike come together for the world first event.

Hometown of RunThrough co-founder Ben Green, the Warrington Running Festival has always been an extremely important event for RunThrough and will continue to be one of our most important races in our busy calendar of events.

Join us for the return of the Warrington Running Festival. Run a Half Marathon, 10k or 5k in and around Warrington Town Centre. Starting and finishing at the Town Hall's iconic Golden Gates, this new event has a road closed, flat and fast route that will provide the perfect opportunity to push yourself to a chip timed, personal best.

Race Start Times:

Half Marathon & 10k - 9am | 5k - 9:15am | Junior Race - 11:30am

Each mile will be accurately marked out and there will be plenty of helpers to cheer you on around the course and on your way to the finish line in the heart of Warrington!

We have been extensively researching into what runners consider important, and sustainability is fast becoming the most important area. Click HERE to see what RunThrough is doing for sustainability.

T-Shirts at events have been a hot topic mainly around them not being a high enough quality to wear on a regular basis. So we have decided to tackle this by offering a RunThrough Kit Technical T-Shirt with a retail value of £22 for £12 with the addition of the event logo printed on the chest.

We can do this with our partner RT Kit as part of a strategic decision to not only raise awareness about the quality of the product but also to counteract the increasing costs incurred in event production in a post-COVID world.

Any T-shirt's purchased on entry will be available to collect at the Kit Stall in the event village.

Here at RunThrough we are always looking for likeminded people to join our community. We always value an extra pair of hands and would love for you to come along and help us!
